Whether this is your first child or fourth, you become something brand new. You made or welcomed this new little person and in turn, they also make you into something you were not before. When you book your newborn session you will be capturing your baby's first days of life in a creative and unique way. There is nothing more beautiful than newborn photography, and I know the importance of preserving your family's most precious moments. Your session

You want stunning portraits documenting your new addition to your family. But even a week after giving birth you’ll still be adjusting to your new normal. There’ll be anxiety about having to get everyone ready, packing the diaper bag, strapping the baby into the car seat and heading to a photography studio. Especially after being up all night.

That’s why I offer in-home newborn sessions. Your comfort and convenience is always my top priority so I bring my equipment (lighting, backdrops, props, etc) to you. You can expect your newborn session to last between 2-3 hours.

My STYLE

My approach and style to newborn photography is clean, timeless and authentic. While I do utilize various backdrops, wraps and props, I like to keep the emphasis on your baby as the beautiful artistic subject. As a newborn photographer, I love to use soft and neutral colors such as white, creams, grays, and blush.

SCHEDULING

I recommend capturing newborn portraits in the first 5-12 days when your baby is still very sleepy and flexible. This is the best time to capture those precious curled-up poses. However, beautiful images can be captured at any stage and I work with newborns up to 6 weeks. Just keep in mind that once beyond those first days we will not be able to get the sleepy, curled poses. If you are sure you want specific poses, please ask about those during your consultation. I only book a few newborn sessions per month so please contact me as soon as possible to ensure availability.

safety first

Your baby will always be in safe and happy hands. My assistant usually accompanies me for newborn sessions for added safety. We’ve both been vaccinated for the flu and pertussis and hand sanitizer is our best friend during a session. Sessions are very dependent on the individual baby and your baby's comfort and safety is far more important to me than achieving a specific pose.

CONSULTATION

All newborn sessions are tailored specifically to you and your baby. Once you book your session we’ll discuss ideas on style, colors, props and wardrobe. I work closely with you and learn from your ideas and expectations to make sure that you will have a relaxed newborn photo session. Once your session is booked, I’ll send you a Newborn Guide with plenty of tips on how to prepare for your baby’s first photo session.

WARDROBE

I use natural materials for props and accessories that are gentle to your baby`s skin. Most of the hand knit soft props and wraps are made of 100% natural organic yarn. Everything is washed before and after each session with detergents that are free of harsh chemicals.

RETOUCHING

Professional photo retouching is included in your newborn session. My style is to keep things looking natural however I will do my best to edit to your liking.

DISPLAYING YOUR ART

I offer high quality fine art prints, gorgeous gallery wraps and elegant albums for a spectacular presentation of your most beautiful memories.

Gift Cards

Gift cards towards a newborn session given by your friends and family is the greatest gift. Consider placing your newborn photography session on your baby registry. This can be done many different ways depending on the baby registry you set up.

Includes an in person/phone consultation, online gallery with 35-45 fully edited images to chose from, and an in-person viewing session.

My job is to create images that you absolutely love. Some clients spend $400 with me, some spend $2000. What you fall in love with and decide to purchase will be completely up to you.
